George was always like a second father to me. He and Tracy opened their home to me and many other kids looking for family and connection. He was a great boss, mentor, lover of menudo and always had the most contagious smile. I dare anyone to say they weren’t happy when he was around. His character wouldn’t allow there to be a bad time. He also had an impressive, and sometimes sketchy, work ethic. Anyone who was around back in the forklift days know exactly what I’m saying hah. “OSHA? Never heard of her” Rest easy, George.

Don George will forever be a part of who I am today. His kindness and protection helped me through some very tough years. I’ll always remember how he listened to me, encouraged me, and showed me what the strength and compassion of a father really looked like. Don George, you are still very much loved!

I have the honor of being the keeper of my family's photos. I found every photo I could of My Uncle George. I don't know a life  without him in it. The date on the back of this photo is 1971 and I didn't come around till 1973😊

I have wonderful childhood memories of summers spent with my Chula Vista cousins, Joey, Georgie and Danny. Swimming and playing on Coronado beach; eating tacos in Tijuana.  As we became adults our lives went in separate directions but the memory of those special Chula Vista summers spent with George are as clear as if they were yesterday. We made our holy communion together and enjoyed some great philosophical  conversations as adults.

I am blessed to have so many great memories of growing up with my cousin George. We enjoyed each other’s company since we were babies, as young children, crazy teens and into adulthood. Some of my fondest memories are when we lived across the street from one another as young children. We played marbles and cowboys and Indians in the dirt. Exploring the neighborhood in Chula Vista and we were daredevils on our skateboards. Watching him surf and ride his dirt bike was so much fun. He took me on a wild ride on his bike that I will never forget! George and I stayed in touch as adults, he came to live in Riverside for a few years and we enjoyed gatherings of fun. I got to know Tracy and saw how much they loved each other. I loved their VW van and their wild hair days:-) 

It’s a wonderful blessing  to have so many great memories of hanging out with George. He was a very kind and loving cousin. 

I will see you again in heaven cousin✝️Lov Lov you.

George was an amazing friend.  He always made me feel so welcome and comfortable in their home from the very first day we met.  So many memories like Halloween party, birthday parties and just hanging out.  I loved how he would leave Tracy notes around the house when he would go to work.  My favorite was when he left her one in the freezer…man Tracy & I laughed so hard about that one.  George was so kind to me.  I will truly miss him and I thank the lord for bringing both of them in my life. ❤️

George (Jito or Sassy Pants as I called him) was the absolute best.  He had amazing work ethic but always had time to stop by and say good morning or "Happy Monday". He loved to scare us and could not be phased when we attempted to scare him back.  Just kept walking and said "Ha ha good one" without even a flinch. We would meet up in the breakroom every day at 3 with Cheyanne and Brittany for a "mandatory 3o'clock break". Even when we all had to start work from home, the four of us would call in on Zoom weekly to carry on our breaks.  We named our friend group "Mandatory 3o'clock" and his wife Tracy became a part of our group as well.  Mandatory 3o'clock became whatever time the Padres were playing because we would always meet up at the game.  George and Tracy have been to our houses for family get-togethers or parties and I'm sure I've changed at least one of his grandsons diapers before.  He was more than a co-worker or friend, he and Tracy became family.  We loved him dearly and he is sorely missed. My condolences to Tracy, his family and everyone that had the privilege of knowing him.
