Born on March 28, 1954, Gilbert lived in San Diego, California.
Gilbert’s greatest legacy was not measured by accomplishments, but by the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the family he cherished. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing his spirit lives on in every story shared, every lesson remembered, and every act of kindness inspired by his life.
Gilbert is survived by his loving mother, Frances Penunuri Marquez; his devoted sister, Jeanne Apodaca; his children, Gilbert and Jolene; his beloved grandchildren, Mia and Adrian; and his treasured great-grandchildren, Ivy and Luca.
Though we will miss his laughter, wisdom, strength, and presence every day, we find peace in knowing that love never truly leaves us. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
