Grace Mary Gilson

Grace Mary Gilson was a strong woman of faith, a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She was born into a family of 9 in Chimaltenango, Guatemala on April 16, 1945 to Jesusita de Fuentes and Tomas Fuentes Perez. She worked as a nurse at Hospital Carroll Behrhorst where she met her husband of 53 years, George Joseph Gilson. Together they had 5 children, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grand-children. Grace loved spending time volunteering alongside her husband in international healthcare in various countries around the world including Africa, Central America, South America and Southeast Asia. When she was not busy volunteering she loved spending time with her family whom she enjoyed and loved. She also enjoyed hiking, crocheting, drawing, gardening and cooking. Grace will be missed by all who knew her. She will always remain in our thoughts and hearts.
