

She spent her formative years in Mexia, Texas where she graduated Valedictorian from Paul E. Dunbar High School with an awarded Academic Scholarship. Her college pursuits were interrupted after a year, secondary to matrimony and subsequent child birth. In 1944 the family relocated to San Diego, California, with subsequent pursuit and development of the A. E. Luckey Construction Company. Grace Luckey was the secretary and functioned as an accomplished bookkeeper, management organizer, and was task-oriented to successful completion. Her photographic memory was effectively utilized and demonstrated. She was the foundation that all stellar accomplishments and achievements were girded, supported, and maintained. Her sense of spiritual obedience, conduct and disciplined reasoning promoted a loving balance and stable living environment.
A meticulous character in spirit, body, mind and presentation. Dedicated to elegance, grace, presentation, and strengthful humility, without arrogance or demonstrable vanity. Gifted with skills of a dedicated seamstress, she shared her talents with the community, designing and tailoring wedding apparel and accessories and fashion attire. She was an accomplished bridge player and bridge circuit champion with an established rating. Her athletic ability was chronicled by league bowling and the recipient of a gallery of competitive trophies. A global traveler for greater than 30 years. Her most coveted honor and achievement was being a virtuous, loyal, and loving wife for 69 years, mother and grandmother. As all mothers are endowed. Grace was charitable, supportive and recognized who, what, and where she was in life and time. Her husband Andrew E. Luckey, Sr. of 69 years preceded her in death, sunset: May 18, 2009.
Her final promotion to eternal life with the Lord and Savior commenced on March 14, 2013; her legacy will be carried and cherished. She leaves to cherish her memory Andrew E.
