

after a stroke had left him confined to a wheelchair since November of 2013.
Harry was born in St Cloud Minnesota to Henry and Annette Faucher of
Foshay Electric Company, the middle of 2 brothers Louis (2009) and Donald
(1998). Harry graduated from St Augustine High School in 1946, where he
earned the reputation of "Muscle Man" and the "Great Elucidator."
Harry went on to San Diego Junior College, leaving to develop what
would be a lifetime career in sales. He was a natural negotiator, problem
solver and teacher, talents that would serve him well throughout his life.
Harry enjoyed and excelled in sports becoming Mr YMCA in 1950 and
receiving awards from power lifting to racquetball championships.
An outdoorsman Harry enjoyed, to name just a few, golfing, fishing, running,
and in later years becoming an avid cyclist.
Harry was a man of many talents including backyard vegetable gardening and
singing. In his younger years Harry sang in the parish choir and later harmonizing
in the local Barbershop Quartet. Whatever his endeavor his pursuit was excellence.
To Harry there were no problems only challenges. He met prostate cancer
and bladder cancer with the same determination.
Harry was the devoted and supportive husband of Barbara Faucher for 65 years.
His children will remember him as being fun, strong in body and character,
a great story and joke teller and teacher of virtues.
They would like him to be remembered as a man of integrity and humility.
Harry was predeceased by his son Bill (1969) and his wife Barbara (2015)
He is survived by his son Stephen (Carlene); daughters Valerie Colucci (Bill),
and Diane Priest (Mike); 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Mission Hospice for their
sincere, warm and professional care in Harrys final months, they were a great
comfort and support.
His rosary and funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday April 4, 10:30am at
St Therese Catholic Church 6016 Camino Rico, S.D. CA. 92120.
