Hal gave me my start in the supermarket industry by offering me the position of store manager at the age of 22. He always challenged me and supported me and for that I am forever grateful.

As a former employee & Manager of Hals stores in Wausau & Schofield, it was a privilege to have worked for a superb business leader and visionary for 12 years. Hal gave me an opportunity in the food industry which turned into a 40+ year career as CEO and my wn stores. I am forever grateful to him! Rick Lambrecht

Sad to read of Hal's passing. We bought Kaukauna Red Owl from him in 1971, but my husband started with Hal in High school late 50's. The Red Owl Family was a fun part of our lives. Sadly my husband passed away 18 years ago. Lot's of good memories and the hospitality of the Lindell's was great. Sue Rosental, Mrs. Wilmer.
