

Henry “Harry” Jones Tweedie of San Diego, CA, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026, at the age of ninety-nine. He was born on February 23, 1927, in Belfast, Northern Ireland where he grew up with four sisters and two brothers.
He worked as a pattern maker and entertainer and ultimately met his wife, Martha Lockhart and they were married and blessed with five children.
In 1970, Harry immigrated with his family to San Diego, California.
He was actively involved in youth soccer, resulting in his assistant coaching position at University of San Diego for 15 years. He was an active member of St. Mark’s church where he sang with the choir over 40 years.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Martha, son Tom, son Jim, grandchildren Tommy, Jared and Alex.
He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Janice and Jerry Wiemers, son and daughter in law, Harry and Patricia Tweedie, son Mark Tweedie; grandchildren Lyvia and Joey, Taryn, Haley and Frankie; great-grandchildren Alex, Cecilia and Noah, Mason, Malia, Ava and Landon; and great-great-grandchildren Meadow and Jeremiah.
Harry loved to be around family and friends. He made everyone’s life better because he was a part of it. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at El Camino Mortuary on Friday, June 5th at 12:30pm.
Interment to follow at El Camino Mortuary with a reception after in the Reflections Room.
