Irma Jucknath, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died in San Diego, California on November 3, 2020 at the age of 84. Born in St. George, Utah and raised in southern California, Irma lived in El Centro, California for more than 30 years. Irma held a Master's Degree and taught at Imperial High School for 13 years. She also spent time teaching in Brawley, Calexico and San Jose, California. She married Roy Jucknath in 1956 and together they had daughters Lauryl, Karen, Sheri and Susan. The family enjoyed yearly road trips to such places as Alaska, Canada and Wyoming, escaping the summer heat and creating wonderful memories. After retiring, Irma and Roy moved to San Diego. They enjoyed their retirement years in Rancho Penasquitos and Oceanside. They were avid square dancers and were members of Tips and Rounders in El Centro and Village Square Dancing club in Ocean Hills Country Club. They attended many square dancing events and were past presidents of the square dancing club at Ocean Hills. Irma is survived by her daughters Lauryl Hiscox, Karen Simpson, Sheri Coalson and Susan Caldwell, nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer's Association (www.sanalz.org).

Aunt Irma was always kind and happy.

She was a great cook and I have many wonderful memories of her homemade carne asada, guacamole and sopapillas.

It was always a highlight of the summer when Uncle Roy, Aunt Irma and our cousins would come to visit.

I thank God I had Irma for my sister in law. We had a great relationship. She was pretty, intelligent and caring. Irma and the four girls took excellent care of Roy when he was ill. We enjoyed camping in the Rocky Mountains with Roy and Irma. Irma is loved and greatly missed by me.

I have many great memories of Aunt Irma boating at the lake and camping in the Big Horns. I remember the fun time me and Jeremy(my son) had going to the San Diego Zoo with Roy and Irma. I'll never forget her yummy carne asada and guacamole,
I will always remember her welcoming smile, her warm embrace, and her beautiful heart. I'm sincerely sorry for your loss. I want you and your family to know that you are in my thoughts. Aunt Irma will be in my heart and memories forever.

Sending hugs,
