Jake, you left us too soon. During our high school reunion on December 5, 2021 at Abe's, I sat you aside and asked if there was something wrong with you because you were not your usual self being the life of the party with your jokes and "kakulitan". You said you were okay and we left it at that. But when we heard the tragic news you were gone early this year,  I found out that I was not the only one who noticed and observed that there was something different about you.  But Jake, we all thank you for gracing us your presence during the time even when you were broken inside. Please know that we will miss you everyday and we will treasure the happy memories that we all have shared together. God speed and may God grant you eternal rest and His perpetual life shine upon you. 

Jake, Thank you for being part of our Thursday Dance Family.  I still remember the leche plan that you made fews times.  You always make extra one just for me.  We will miss you.  
Thank you for sending me a message last December & remembering me for Christmas.  Didn’t realize that it will be your last message.  Rest in peace.  Till we meet again.

I remember uncle Boying introducing me to carne asada burritos for the first time when I spent the night as a kid.  Nothing like Mexican food at 1 or 2 in the morning. 

You could always count on Uncle Boying to lighten up the mood and joke around at  family gatherings. He’s the comedic member of our family. If you know any of the Guarin boys, then you know his sons share his funny, inappropriate sense of humor. LOL Uncle will be missed by many but never forgotten. May you Rest in Peace  Uncle Boying! ❤️🙏🏽

Jake, thank you for humoring me during your visits to Knights of Pythias Hall Fil-Am dances in National City.  Like the true Pinoy that you are you enjoyed the company of your people and they enjoyed your friendship too.   We have to admit that dancing keeps Pinoys happy, and those gatherings make one relive childhood and a young man's memories of the madre patria in this welcoming foreign nation.  Jake, the people at "KP" will always honor your memories, me too.  One good thing about the dancing people is that they love to take pictures for everybody for memories sake,  We admit that your passing surprised us but we know you must be in heaven now that God called you to his side.  Surely you are teaching the Angels how to dance the "Tango."  Rest in peace good guy!
