James David Bishop

James Bishop had a Positive attitude every day of his life. He was a brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. From his youth until the age of 84, he always kept on the sunny side of life, sharing a smile and a joke with all. Jim had a deep faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and a strong determination to do the right thing. Jim’s father, Charles nelson Bishop, was a preacher and taught Jim the importance of prayer and being grateful for what you have. Jim passed this valuable legacy on to his only child Bonnie and son-in-law Jeff Thacker, and grandchildren, Elizabeth, David and Melissa. For 20 years, Jim ran a milk delivery business. He became an honorary family member to many of his customers. Jim’s wife Beverly, of 49 wonderful years, always said he had the best job in the world. Jim also served in the navy and worked in the aircraft industry. Jim was blessed with many great friends. His family would like to let all of his friends know that you did make a positive difference in his life. each visit, phone call, hello at church or pat on the back meant the world to him. Services will be held March 26, 2016 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3450 Camino De Los Coches, Carlsbad, Ca 92009 at 12 noon.
