Juli, we are so sorry to learn of Jim's passing. We enjoyed the occasions when we spent time with the two of you, and we will always be grateful to you and Jim for your kindness and generosity to Geoffrey as he was growing up. 

I just heard the news of James.  I am heartbroken for you, dear Juli.  What an incredible man , friend, musician,  wise and considerate person he was.   So intelligent and yet humble in a way .  BLESS YOU and know you are loved.  J o.  

What an amazing man, Jim Forbes!  A masterful fundraiser, a bon vivant, and an all-around wonderful person who contributed his gifts to museums, theaters, and the world of music, especially opera.  We will most remember him for his passion for opera and symphonies, and for his encyclopedic knowledge of music history and lore.  May his memory always be a blessing -- we know it will be.
