Uncle Sonny, I will always remember how you adopted me and my daughter into your ohana with so much love and aloha. Ulu and I were the lucky ones who got to live with Kathy across the street from you. I remember how at the slightest problem, you were always there for me. I remember our graduation from Madison celebration at your house. I remember those incredible hula costumes and headpieces you would always make us. Mostly, you and Auntie always being so welcoming to all of us. I will remember you fondly and will malama your ohana. I just look at them with awe that they indeed are just like you my uncle. Aloha pumehana me ke aloha no. Mahalo, mahalo, mahalo piha. With the utmost of kuleana, I honor you.

Navy blues standing in my moms kitchen.
Navy whites starched and bright.
Family dropping in for visits, sharing food and stories.
Twinkle in the eye and that Heavenly smile
Laughter unmatched, arms open and accepting,
Comfortable singing songs not always of his native tongue.
Loving his siblings and family setting by example
Mahalo for our memories to warm the heart
Dear Uncle rest well you are loved so much

My deepest sympathy for your family a hug, kiss, and smile is coming from my heart.

I'm so sorry for your loss. You are all in my thoughts. Uncle Sunny was such an amazing guy. Every time he was in town. We went to my grandmas (Maureen Lowery) to see him. He never let you in or out of the house without an I love you and hugs. He always had a smile and was always laughing. I will miss him deeply. Love you all.
