She sang with many choirs throughout her life. She and Robert were strong supporters of the San Diego Opera over many years. Later in life, she developed a passion for oil painting, becoming a member of the La Jolla Art Association and producing many beautiful canvases. She especially enjoyed painting the shoreline and canyons of San Diego. She also enjoyed visiting art museums and galleries to study original works. She was particularly interested in early California painters.
