Jerry was born in 1938 in San Francisco, California, where he grew up attending the local Catholic school. He later graduated from USF as a physics major, followed by graduate work at Oregon State University in Corvallis.
Jerry loved working with computers, and worked for the NAVY as a computer scientist in hardware and software development for over 30 years.
Jerry loved to play tennis, ski and walk in the national parks, and was most delighted to do these things with his wife and daughters. After retirement, he enjoyed volunteering with the Point Loma Association, making improvements to beautify the roads and public spaces in his community. Later in life, his favorite pastime was playing and reading with his 3 granddaughters and soaking up the sun in his plant-filled backyard. He was frequently found with his camera, taking photos & videos of his family.
Jerry passed away Friday April 14 due to complications from bladder cancer. As was his wish, he died peacefully at home with his family.
He is survived by his devoted wife Sally, daughters Elizabeth & Sheri, son-in-law Jay and his three beloved granddaughters. All will miss his wide smile, big heart and goofy humor greatly.
