Jimmy Ismael Carmona was born in Los Angeles, California in 1969. Jimmy was the fourth of five children of Moises Ismael Carmona and Maria Luz Vallarta Carmona. Jimmy is survived by his sons Roland James Paquette and Logan Slade Carmona and grandsons Logan Slade Carmona Jr. and Joey Slade Carmona. Jimmy is also survived by his sisters Susana and Diana Carmona and brothers Sergio and Mario Carmona. Before moving to San Diego, California to continue his cancer treatment, Jimmy most recently lived in Newburyport, Massachusetts where he worked as the General Manager/Engineering Director for Crystal Engineering. Jimmy also attended Berklee College of Music. Amongst Jimmy’s many interests and talents, he was an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed mountain biking and riding dirt bikes. Jimmy’s first love was playing both the electric and acoustic guitar. Jimmy was a beloved son, brother, friend, and father. He was highly respected amongst his peers and staff. Jimmy was a renaissance man in every sense of the word. He was a collector of forgotten art, a poet, and a musician and song writer. He was also a sculptor of wood. At a very young age, he became a curious and skillful tinkerer. He loved to take machines apart to see how they worked and put them back together. Jimmy was an artist at heart with the mind of an engineer and the old soul and profound wisdom of a philosopher. Jimmy loved people and the finer things in life. He could describe the inner working of a fine watch, a well-made car or dirt bike, a classic piece of art, and fine paintings like a man who had studied them for a lifetime. Jimmy loved people. We all love him and will miss Jimmy for the rest of our lives.
