John Alan Vertullo

John Alan Vertullo, age 89, of San Diego, California died January 26, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After graduating high school he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served from 1952- 1956. After his Air Force service he continued his education at the University of Pittsburgh from 1957-1963. In 1965 John moved to California with his beloved wife, Barbara Vertullo, and their seven children, eventually settling in San Diego. John is survived by his daughters Rebecca Wright, Lynn Vertullo, Andrea Vertullo, Rhea Anna LeClair and husband Tim, and Mary Vertullo; sons, John R. Vertullo and wife Deborah, and Mark Vertullo and wife Suzi; sister, Shirley Vertullo; brother Keith Vertullo; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Vertullo, his sons, Arthur and Anthony, parents, Raymond and Emelyne Vertullo, and brother Raymond Vertullo. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all of his family and friends.
