

Joe is survived by his wife Nancy of 16 years, daughter Cyndi (Bart) Felix, daughter Cathi (Kevin) Smith, daughter Amanda (Mike) Ried, step-daughter Heidi (Matt) Doyle, and step-son Scott (Ana) Wetzel, Brother Pat (Mary) Dolphin and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Joe was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all. Joe was a successful businessman and CEO of Medevac Inc., and ImmuDx Inc. He was president of Indian Wells Chamber of Commerce and foreman of the San Diego County Grand Jury, and was active in many organizations including San Diego County Salvation Army and Governor’s Small Business Advisory Council. Joe co-authored a book and received an Emmy for a documentary called “A Safe Place” in which he and Judge Bob Coats were filmed as they spent the night with the homeless on the streets of San Diego. He earned numerous rewards for his accomplishments including Small Businessman of the Year, Small Business Champions and the President’s Award from the Coronado Chamber of Commerce. There will be a memorial mass on June 23,2017 at St. Michael’s Church in Poway, CA at 10:30 am and reception following. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to San Diego County Salvation Army.
