Joventino was born on January 16, 1943 in Villasis, Philippines to Pedro Abrenica and Angelina Enrique Abrenica.
He married Trifina Florendo on February 8, 1969 and together they raised three children. In January of 1968 he enlisted in the US Navy and served for more than 22 years. After retiring in March of 1990, he continued to serve others by supporting students and staff through various roles in local school districts.
Joventino was an avid bowler who regularly participated in leagues and tournaments whenever he could, earning numerous trophies and awards over the years. In his spare time, he also enjoyed playing chess and took pride in caring for his garden and fruit trees.
Quiet and unassuming, Joventino was quick to lend a hand to anyone who needed help without seeking any recognition or praise. He always gave his best and never made anything about himself. He will be dearly missed and though he is gone, memories of his service and kindness to others will remain with all who knew him.
Joventino is survived by his wife, Trifina Abrenica; his three children, Edison, Joven, and Gail; and his three grandchildren, Hunter, Sydney, and Ryder; his brother Reynaldo Enrique Abrenica and sister Corazon Abrenica Ordonez. He is preceded in death by his eldest sister Milagros Abrenica Jacob.
A viewing and service will take place at El Camino Memorial on Friday June 13th from 2:00-6:00pm.
