Kathleen Sharon Folstad

Kathy was born on September 13, 1946 in San Diego, California, a daughter of the late Thomas and Miriam McCubbin. She was a graduate of Helix High School in La Mesa and married at the age of 20. She was a devoted homemaker and mother and was a member of the Shadow Mountain Church congregation.

In addition to her passion for her lifelong business in jewelry and collectibles, she enjoyed traveling and had a love for flower arranging and painting.

Her employment opportunities took her to many different locales from California and New Mexico to Hawaii and the Chesapeake Bay.

She is remembered by those who knew her as a generous and kind woman with a lively sense of humor. For those closest to her she also embodied the idea of the free and adventurous spirit from travelling solo across the country in her RV to riding her motorcycle on the track at Willow Springs Raceway.

She is survived by her sister Barbara, nephews Bryan and Adam and son David.

She will forever remain in our hearts.

A celebration of life for Kathleen will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Goodbody Mortuary, 5027 El Cajon Blvd, San Diego, CA 92115.
