Keith Alfred Campbell, born on February 14, 1937, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, passed away on July 26, 2026, at the age of 89 in San Diego, California. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Keith lived a life defined by generosity, laughter, and a deep devotion to those he loved.
Keith grew up in Michigan, the son of the late Horace Campbell and Velma Goodenough. He proudly served five years in the Army Reserves before finding his true calling in education, where he dedicated over 35 years to shaping young minds. Even in retirement, his commitment to students never wavered. He remained active with the California Retired Teachers Association, South Shores, Division 60, and supported the CalRTA Scholarship Foundation, helping future generations pursue their dreams.
Keith and his wife, Constance, shared a remarkable 60 years of marriage, a partnership built on love, humor, and adventure. Together they traveled the world, creating memories that their family will treasure forever. When he wasn't exploring new places, Keith could be found at the chessboard, engaging in a game he truly loved. His wonderful sense of humor could light up any room, and his generous spirit extended well beyond his family, as he gave freely to charitable causes throughout his life.
Keith is survived by his devoted wife, Constance Campbell; his son, Steven Campbell; his daughter, Beverly Curo (Campbell); his brother, Horace (Jerry) Campbell; grandchildren, Ashlyn Goulet (Curo) and Brooklyn Curo; and great grandchildren, Tatum, and Noah.
May he find peace and rest in the grace he so quietly carried through life. Keith will be laid to rest at El Camino Memorial Park in San Diego, California.
