Kevin Peter Adams

Kevin was born August 18, 1950 to Richard and Mary Adams and he has two brothers and two sisters. Kevin met Rosemary when his family moved into the projects and then in September 1956 Kevin and Rosemary became classmates. They attended St. Patrick's school in Jersey City for eight years and regardless of whatever activity, Kevin always had Rosemary's back. Kevin stood behind Rosemary when they made their communion and their confirmation and even when they had a graduation picture taken in 1964. Kevin stood right behind Rosemary always having her back. Kevin and Rosemary dated through high school and they married on October 16, 1971. On that day the Adams and Buonomo families became one. We had all played with each other’s brothers and sisters throughout our childhood but became an official family on our wedding day. Since both families experience the same memories it made it very easy for the families to mesh and to carry-on for the last 45 years. Family was most important to Kevin and he always made sure his family knew that they were his number one. Kevin had two children; Michael who was born in 1976 and Shannon who was born in 1980. Kevin also has three grandchildren; Justin 14. Breanna 12 and Brendan 7. There wasn't anything Kevin wouldn't do for his family over and over again and especially he proved that fighting his fight with cancer for the last five years. Kevin was given the gift of time and was able to do everything his way which was the only way he wanted it. Kevin was a man of few words and was an excellent listener and according to him he had few friends that were lifelong friends in addition to having many acquaintances. Kevin worked for the County of San Diego for 30 years and he retired in 2006. Kevin enjoyed his retirement which included fishing, playing golf, taking road trips, camping at Beaver Utah, and watching lots of TV but most important was his time with his family.
