CAROLAN, LAWRENCE EDMUND Feb. 26, 1939 to April 24, 2012 Passed away peacefully following a lengthy but courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Boston and moved to California in 1953, he worked as a psych tech while attending San Jose State; graduating in 1963. He was accepted to Coast Guard OCS. While working at Camarillo State Hospital, he met the love of his life, Patricia. Larry and Pat had wonderful adventures. He was an avid skier, sailor and surfer. You could always track their travels by their boats; starting with a P-Cat in 1964 and ending with a small flotilla in 2012. Larry was a gentle, kind and inspiring influence in many lives. He will be dearly missed by the people he loved and who loved him. He is survived by wife and playmate Pat, son Chris, and granddaughter Annelise; as well as family in Nova Scotia, Canada. No services are planned.
