Lawrence Robert Rosenberg (Larry), 63, of Poway, California, died peacefully after a long struggle with multiple sclerosis on October 6th, 2020. Born in Long Beach, California to William and Haroldine Rosenberg (Kalk), the middle child of three children, was raised in Lakewood, lived most of his life in the Long Beach area, and moved to Poway in San Diego county nine years ago.
Larry retired as an Operating Engineer in 1997 after 20 years of service in large high-rise buildings. He was known for his loyalty to friends, a calm demeanor, and humorous outlook on life. An accomplished motocross motorcycle champion early in his life he also loved all sports. He closely following the Los Angeles Dodgers and was a rabid fan since childhood. He enjoyed music, old television shows, and trips to see the horses in the Poway backcountry. Larry demonstrated extraordinary courage and perseverance living with progressive multiple sclerosis and was an inspiration to all who shared in his struggle.
Larry loved his children, family, and friends. He is survived by his two children, Matthew and Shaina, two stepchildren, Doug and Nichole, sister Janice, and brother Martin.
