If this is the Liberty E. Mann III that served in the U.S. Navy then we were stationed together on the 1976-1977 Westpac cruise while serving on COMCRUDESGRU-5 with Admiral S.T. Counts.

I was a Yeoman at the time and Liberty was a Chief (E-7).  I was 19 years old and this guy was such a dynamic individual.  He had an incredible sense of humor, always upbeat, and an excellent mentor.  He taught me so many things about the Navy...and staying alive while overseas.  He is undoubtedly sadly missed.
