Lillian Dorothy Williams was born on May 27, 1932 in Richmond, Virginia to Edward Dailey Sr. and Lillian Jones Dailey. Lillian was one of five children born to this union. She is predeceased in death by her brother Edward Dailey Jr. and sisters Marietta Dailey Bryant, Antoinette Dailey Williams and Gladys Dailey Petty.
Lillian graduated from Saint Joseph’s High School and furthered her education at Virginia State College. There she met and married the late Edward L. Williams on March 2, 1956. Their marriage lasted fifty-one beautiful years.
Lillian relocated to California with her husband and five children in 1969. She began her 21 years of employment with Topaz Electronics working in their accounting department on March 27, 1973. During her employment, she received numerous awards for her attendance and outstanding performance within the company. Lillian was a very dedicated, dependable and loyal employee and was not only recognized for all her accolades, but very much appreciated by everyone at the company.
Cooking was Lillian’s passion and she was an excellent cook. Everyone knew she made the best homemade rolls. Any time we had gatherings; people would hope they could hide extra rolls to take home with them. We will all miss her homemade rolls.
Lillian was a strong loving person who was deeply loved by her family and she always saw the best in every person she met. She always had nice things to say about her friends and family habitually bringing positivity to everyone around her. Lillian enjoyed holiday dinners with her family and she always ensured that everybody had a place at her table.
Some of Lillian’s favorite pastimes was watching the Family Feud, going to Barona Casino to play the slots and going to the buffet at the casino. If you asked her about the casino, her face would light up with excitement. In addition, she was a member of the Pokeno Club and the members would meet monthly for club meetings. The club would hold annual dances and birthday dinners for the members. She really considered the Pokeno club her family and Lillian always knew she could count on her club members if she needed anything.
Lillian departed peacefully at her home with family at her side. She leaves to cherish her memories, daughter Karen Nicholson of Illinois, sons Edward Williams Jr, Brian Williams and Duncan Williams all of California. She is predeceased in death by her son Rodney Williams of California. In addition, she has four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
