Lois Jeanne McIntyre

Lois Jeanne (Krengel) McIntyre, 101, of San Diego, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 14th. She was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, the second oldest of four siblings, to Herman and Florence Krengel. Lois moved to San Diego in 1950 to join her mother and sister.

She shared 48 years of happy married life with Dick McIntyre, until his death on June 9, 2006. To Dick she was always “The Doll.” For over 40 years, they square-danced and round-danced several times a week, where they made life-long friends. Lois enjoyed visiting her family and friends all over the country. A busy social calendar and dressing up to go out, was how she liked it. She was generous of spirit to family and friends alike.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews: Steve Krengel, Roxy Heidenfelder, Donna McGee, Christoper Krengel, Christine Krengel, Clifford White, Judy Patton, April Melton, and Robin Cranford. Lois was preceded in death by siblings Richard Krengel, Donald Krengel and Shirley Larson; and nieces Kim Krengel and Maggie Hegedusch.

A Memorial Service for Lois will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at El Camino Memorial - Sorrento Valley, 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92121. Interment will be at El Camino Memorial.
