

Lolita Ancheta Supnet died peacefully on July 1, 2026 at Palomar Hospital in Escondido, CA surrounded by three (3) of her 12 children. Lily, as she is fondly called by her family and friends, was born on December 28, 1929 (Ninos Inocentes Day) in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. She is the first child of Geronimo Paguergan Ancheta (a World War 1 marine) and Mercedes Quintos Quibilan (a retired teacher), both from Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur, Philippines.
Lily got married at the young tender age of 20 to Restituto “Resty” Pe Benito Supnet (who passed on November 1, 2004). They were blessed with 12 children, 26 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. They migrated to the United States in 1992 and chose San Diego as their permanent place of residence.
Lily is survived by her 10 children, 6 of them are here in the States: Jennifer (the eldest), Resty Jr. (the 2nd) wife Marilou); Joe (the 3rd) wife Amy; Fr. Romie Gel (the 6th); Roberto (the 10th) wife Cecilia; and Carmelita (the youngest of 12), husband Bert. The rest live in the Philippines: Nemesio (the 4th), Reynaldo (the 7th), Lolita Lourdes (the 8th), Dina (Relandy’s wife), and Mercedita (the 11th); 26 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; siblings Alonzo and Amelia, who are both in the Philippines. She is preceded in death by her husband of 77 years, Resty, his two sons Geronimo (the 5th), and Relandy (the 9th), siblings Asuncion, Virginia and Rogelio, son-in-law Rene (husband of Mercedita) and daughter-in-law Judy (wife of Reynaldo) and granddaughter Mei-Ann (daughter of Nemesio).
Lily graduated from high school with 1st Honor in 1947. She graduated from college at the University of Manila with an ETC and a Business Administration degree. She worked as a bookkeeper for 6 years at Acoje Mining Company; Manager of Vigan Consumers’ Coop for 4 years.
Some of Lily’s volunteer work: Member, Mother Butler Club, Vigan, Ilocos Sur; Member, Catholic Women’s League (CWl), Vigan, Ilocos Sur; President, Rotary Ann’s of Ilocos Sur; Member, Murphy Ladies Club, Cubao, Quezon City, Philippines; Treasurer, CWL, Cubao, Quezon City; President, CWL, Cubao, Quezon City before immigrating to the US.
Lily has served as a Volunteer at the Mira Mesa Senior Center since 1998. She diligently assisted the late Commander Resty in all the Center’s activities. She was once a Vice-President, and Treasurer of FASCA (Filipino-American Senior Citizens’ Association) and served as Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary of the Mira Mesa Senior Center.
Lily loved to play mahjong and visit the casinos with her family. Despite her memory loss, Lily stayed warm-spirited, upbeat, oftentimes comedic, and put a smile on the face of every person she met.
Lily is the epitome of a Wife, a Mother/Nanay, a Grandmother/Lola, an Aunt/Tita, a Friend/Confidante, a Leader, and a Volunteer.
Family and friends are invited to attend the following memorial services: July 16, Thursday 5-9pm Rosary and Viewing at El Camino Mortuary in San Diego, July 17, Friday 5-9pm Vigil Service and Viewing at El Camino Mortuary in San Diego; July 18 Saturday at 10am Funeral Mass and Celebration of New Life, Good Shepherd Catholic Church also in San Diego, CA. Rite of Committal follows at El Camino Mortuary.
