We lost our beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend on June 26, 2019. Our hearts will forever be broken over the unexpected and sudden loss of Lorne. Lorne’s passing creates an immeasurable and irreplaceable void in the lives of the Dumo and Sicat families and those that knew and loved him.

Lorne Dale Dumo was born in Ridgecrest, California on November 21, 1974 to Henry Dumo and Elygen Sicat Dumo. He became a big brother when Marty was born less than two years later. He lived the majority of his life in the community of Rancho Penasquitos in San Diego, California. As a young boy, he had the privilege of being an altar server at Miramar Memorial Chapel and he remained a faithful Catholic throughout his life. He was a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School and, following in his father’s footsteps, served in the United States Navy.

Lorne loved to travel and was blessed to have had the opportunity to travel throughout the United States including Alaska, Philippines, Canada, Dubai and Italy. He loved watching movies, the theatre, musicals and concerts. Most importantly, he loved spending time with friends and family. To say that he was a momma’s boy is an understatement. He loved his mom fiercely. And both of his nieces were his joy.

Lorne truly had a heart of gold and was likely one of the nicest people you could ever meet. He was such a unique person and to know him was to love him. Although he didn’t always express it, we know that his heart was full of love for all of his family and friends.

Lorne is survived by his father, Henry Dumo (Welma); mother, Elygen Sicat Dumo; brother and sister-in-law, Marty and Lory Dumo; nieces, Lauren and Alyssa; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Lorne will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his loved ones, family and friends.
