Louise Washburn Percy

Louise W. Percy (80) of San Diego, California passed away peacefully in her sleep and in the embrace of family members on April 25, 2024, shortly after being diagnosed with brain cancer. Louise was born ín Toronto, Canada on July 4, 1943 to parents Dorothy Washburn Saxton and Stanley S. Saxton. Beloved mother of Lynda, son-in-law Frank and grandmother to Courtney and Jake. Aunt to Douglas Vanderby, Catherine MacIntosh (Saxton), Steven Saxton, and Adam Saxton. Sister-in-law and Aunt to a great many kind and fun-loving people who comprise her very large extended Percy family in Ontario, Canada. Predeceased by her husband, Henry D. Percy, her sister, Iris Alexandra Cuthill and her brother, Thomas S. Saxton.

In the Spring of 1967, Louise and her husband, Harry moved their small family from Canada to San Diego, never expecting to make it their life-long residence. They embraced the San Diego lifestyle while raising their daughter ín a simpler time. Louise was a kind and gentle person with an inner strength that never left her. Throughout her life, her kindness extended to animals in need and she never turned away the many feral cats that graced her doorstep over the years.

Louise will be laid to rest in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.
