Thank you Mama for everything you have shared with us the memories will remain in our hearts forever....your a mother who sacrifice everything for your family a mother who’s very loving, understanding, caring we’re gonna miss you so much . We love you so much... 

When you have a sick husband , sometimes you have to hide the uncertainty from them & just be as positive as you can ... even if you aren’t feeling well yourself . 

It was well worth seeing you last dec 21, I thought we will see you again . But you were taken sooner than we thought , you are now out of pain , Rest In Peace auntie 🙏

You dedicated your time caring for your husband and family. You will  surely be missed by them. Lourdes, it was nice to known you. I wish we could have spend more time together. I'm glad we had an unexpected lunch together at Carl's Jr on July 31,2018. Miss you. May you rest in peace.

I knew little of my sister-in-law Lourdes until she and my brother Rogelio immigrated to USA some twenty years ago. Now I know she was a loving and caring person. She appreciated people who helped her and her family and was very industrious in looking for work to help her family. So much so, that one cold December evening I saw her ringing the bell for Salvation Army's donation kettle. She and Rogelio were  married 52 years ago and so it happened that this year she was in the hospital trying to survive the cancer during their anniversary. In the last few years, they were inseparable because my brother Rogelio survived a minor stroke and to top it off was also suffering from dementia. Rogelio ended up in a nursing home, where as you can guess, Lourdes was with him every day of the week. A member of the family would drive her to and from the nursing home. When Rogelio came home, she did everything for him, from feeding him to dressing him up. Now that she's gone, I'm sure even with his state of mind he will miss her loving and caring,  There are not enough words to say how important she is to her family. As busy as she was with my brother she still was able to also look after Cocoy, the five-year-old grandson of my youngest brother, Marcelo, who unfortunately also died of cancer 6 years ago.                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

My wife and I were fortunate enough to be able to talk to her, even if she was in pain, on December 17th, about noon. Straining to talk, she wanted to stay alive as long as possible, at least to see her grand kids graduate. She was also worried about her husband. It was heartbreaking to listen to her wishes, which we hoped would happen. No amount of words will ease the sorrow, but at least the pain is gone with her passing away. We will miss you, may you rest in peace.

I feel for her family, my heart goes out to all of you, words can not express how shocked and sad ..this makes me can't imagine what you, her family is going through right now...She was a lovely woman, generous, a good close friend, and a beautiful inside & out..a sweetheart friend, I will never forget...Rest in peace my dear Lourdes....your name will always mention with love...from all of us here...your neighbor.. in Royal Ann Avenue...
