

Lucille Bauer, of Lakeside, California, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at the age of 84. She was born on July 30, 1941, in Bache, Oklahoma, where she grew up as the youngest of seven children to Eva and Edward Stansel.
She graduated from McAlester High School in June 1959.
She worked as a typist with the Sanitation Department of the City of San Diego from 1961 to 1968. She married Larry Bauer in 1965. She was a housewife and mother to three children, Glen, Brenda and Darron. In 1983, she went back to work with the City of El Cajon as a Records Supervisor until 1996, in which year she retired. She was actively involved in the Lakeside Community Presbyterian Church, where she often helped as a volunteer. She was very fond of her two dachshund boys, Donnie and Clyde. She liked to crochet and she especially loved music. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing in the choir, of which she was a part for many years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eva and Edward Stansel, her brothers Harold, Bob, Kenneth and Leonard, her sister Shirley, and her husband, Larry Bauer.
She is survived by her sister Leona, her three children, Glen, Brenda and Darron, Brenda’s daughters Teryn, Amber and Ashlyn and her husband Vincent, Darron’s wife Christina and their daughter Charlotte.
The family happily reflects on the nearly 54 years of marriage that she shared with her husband, Larry.
The family would like to thank all who have so generously shared their friendship, love, support, and prayers for Lucille and her family over these many years and through her final days and hours.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service and Celebration of Life for Lucille at the Lakeside Community Presbyterian Church on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 1 pm.
