Luz America Monaga Jimenez, age 88, of Vista, California passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023. Luz was born in Esmeraldas, Ecuador.

Luz is survived by her son Otoniel Monaga; her daughter Sixta Chichande Monaga; and her son Carlos Chevez Monaga.

Luz was preceded in death by her son Alfredo Presiado Monaga.

Ms. Monaga Jimenez leaves 13 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren to cherish her memories.

A memorial service for Luz will be held Monday, November 13, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Cypress View Mausoleum, Mortuary and Crematory, 3953 Imperial Ave, at S 40th St, San Diego, CA 92113. Following the memorial service will be a visitation from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
