Lynda was born on November 1, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan, to Philip Howitt and Millicent Benesuik. She attended Santiago High School in Garden Grove, California. She was married to her first husband, Stephen Benn, for seven years, and together they welcomed their only daughter, Amy.
For most of her career, Lynda worked as an outside sales representative in the title insurance industry. She was highly successful in her profession, which afforded her and her beloved husband, Robert Hall, the opportunity to enjoy more than 20 cruises together. Their travels took them to destinations including the Bahamas, Alaska, Hawaii, and Europe.
Lynda often referred to Robert, affectionately known as “Bobby Boy,” as the love of her life. They were married for more than 42 years until his passing. She was a true character—a force to be reckoned with—and she loved her family fiercely. She enjoyed music and dancing throughout her life, and anyone who knew her also knew of her love for fashion and shopping.
Few people loved Christmas more than Lynda. During the holiday season, her home became a magical wonderland. In fact, her daughter Amy eventually had to convince her to stop buying additional Santa decorations. She also cherished the many cats she shared with her husband and daughter through the years. Her final cat, Tilly, held a special place in her heart.
More than anything, Lynda loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her faith was the foundation of her life and meant everything to her. She had a gift for encouragement and an extraordinary ability to build others up and make them feel valued and loved.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Amy Benn Lee; her son-in-law, Charles Lee; her three grandsons, Michael, Matthew, and Christian Lee; and her siblings, Larry Howitt, Leslie Howitt, and Leah Harrison.
Lynda will be deeply missed, forever loved, and fondly remembered by all who were privileged to know her.
