His love for music and family is only eclipsed by his love of serving the United States Navy. He found his calling in the ranks of the U.S. Navy, as a chief petty officer serving in the Vietnam War. His journey took him to many places, places like Submarine School in Newland, Connecticut, Experimental weapons testing in Norfolk, Virginia, and several Westpacs found him on Destroyer ships such as the USS Piedmont, USS Richmond K. Turner, USS LST-5, and the USS O’Hare. Having earned a Navy Commendation and Service Medal for his achievements. He looked fondly on the experiences had, memories created and friends he’s made during his time with US Navy.
