Margaret was born in Alabama to Lillian and Reid Armstrong, she had two sisters Alice and Bobbie and she loved being an older sister. After high school Margaret went to school to become a Registered Nurse. After marrying the love of her life Frank they lived in Kentucky where they had Theresa; soon after they moved to San Diego where they had Reid and Vance. Family and friends were Margaret’s passion and delight, especially children. Margaret was an amazing mom who spent her time doting on her children. Each of her children has their own special memories but all recall she was always there for them whenever needed. In addition to raising her three children Margaret volunteered for the school PTA and local Little League. Margaret continued on as a Little League volunteer after her sons were grown and continued with it while her grandchildren played. Scorekeeping a little league game was a passion of Margaret’s and no one dared to argue a rule with Margaret because she knew them all by heart. Margaret was often found cheering on her children or grandchildren at one of their many sporting events and supporting her daughter’s love of the accordion and many life adventures. Margaret’s gentle smile brought so much joy to her family; she had a loving and generous heart and touched many lives with her presence; Margaret was always giving of herself to others. Margaret was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church and her love of God was evident in everything she did. When not giving her time to others Margaret loved to read but most of Margaret’s time and energy was devoted as a caregiver to family members; Margaret took great joy in helping to raise all of her grandchildren.
