Dear Pat, My condolences to you upon the passing of your son, Mark. I was talking to Dwight Frerichs a few days ago; he informed me of Mark's passing. My husband and I were members of Grace Lutheran church in the 1960s and 1970s.I recall all the information about your children and their activities. I,Fern Frerichs, Lorna, Lois Maier, etc were active in LWML. I remember you well and our activities and participation in LWML. I think about you from time to time. You and your family are in my prayers. Mark was very special. I would like to hear from you and get-together. My cell number is :619-851-0651. Jan Daniell

To Mark's Mom, Greta, Roger, and Bart,

I just learned of Mark's passing and had to write you a note. Mark was my best friend at Grace Lutheran Elementary School and along with Henry Kogler we considered ourselves the "3 Musketeers." Mark and I had planned at a young age to parachute out of a plane over Africa so we could live like Tarzans. We used to watch Tarzan episodes on Saturday afternoons and tried to remember Tarzan's words to the animals which we figured would come in handy in the jungle. I remember spending the night at your house multiple times and Mark also did sleep-overs at my house. I am doing well and about to retire. I believe my brother Tom was Roger's age and he is also doing well and living in Texas. I wish I had kept in touch with Mark. Whenever I think of early times at Grace Lutheran I always think of Mark.

Dear Miesfelds,
What a sock to hear that Mark had passed away. I always thought we would get together again and maybe regain our long lost friendship. It does not seem so long ago (45 years) that Mark and I left San Diego and moved north to Santa Rosa. "What a long strange trip it's been". My deepest condolences.

Dear friends of Mark and the ooRexx community,

My husband, Roger, and I along with our 3 children are very much comforted by reading the wonderful comments you have offered about Mark. He was always so kind and generous helping us raise our three children in Tucson. Mark was Uncle "tough as nails" to our three kids from the time our oldest was 3 to 13 years old. Mark was living in Tucson, attending the UofA, and working at IBM. Mark and Conrad were a part of our family until he moved to San Diego to look for a job. Nicole, Noelle, and Barrett are now ages 28, 26, & 22. On the hiking trails of Southern Arizona and the play ground of Telluride, a slip up or tumble on the slippy or rocky trail, Mark was able to redirect their attention from the discomfort by reminding them they were as tough as nails! Roger and Mark teamed up to show the Tucson Miesfeld kids about hiking, camping, trail biking, white water rafting, and fishing. They fondly remember their adventures with their Uncle Mark (Mr. Tough as Nails). Mark has influenced us greatly in his efforts to do the right thing in respect to nature and our communities. Roger and I will remember his wisdom and companionship as a big brother and a person who was respected in our corner of the world.

My condolences to Mark Miesfeld family. It is shocking to hear the news as Mark was only 63. He was the nicest guy I ever worked with. After reading more about him, my respect multiplied.
Rest in peace mark.

My condolences to Mark's family. I had the pleasure of working with Mark at APM in the last year. He was very helpful to me in solving the c++ problems I was having. He was generous with his time and always willing to help. He will be missed.
