Marlene Rabara Emboltorio walked through the gates of heaven on August 19, 2026. She lived in Chula Vista, California with her husband Peter and her two children Kristine and Patrick. She was born in Baguio City Philippines on November 28 1953. In Baguio She lived a wonderful life with her mom Adelaida, dad Francisco, two brothers June and Tito, and her sisters, Terry and Virginia. Marlene led a life shaped by her faith, strength, resilience, compassion, patience, laughter, courage and her enormous generous heart.
In the Philippines, Marlene pursued an education in Nursing. After graduating the Nursing program at Pines City Doctors hospital, She led an amazing nursing career that spanned thirty years in the United States. Her career was a direct reflection of who Marlene was: A Powerfully kind woman with an enormous, loving and selfless heart. Marlene was the embodiment of a lover, a giver and a healer.
At Pines City Doctors Hospital, Marlene met her bestfriend and her soulmate, Peter Jose Emboltorio. Together, they tended to a beautiful marriage that lasted 43 years. Those 43 years were full of devotion, faithfulness, unending laughter, patience, resilience, respect for one another, understanding for one another, gratitude and most importantly, unconditional love. Their love story will truly stand the test of time, and set the example for what true love really looks like. Together they raised two children, their eldest, Kristine, and their youngest, Patrick.
Marlene found the most joy spending time with her family. Her love for dancing, cooking and music came through the most during the parties that she’d have at home. She loved to smile and laugh, and so she found so much joy in making others do the same. Marlene’s joy was undeniably contagious, and everyone knew that she was both the bedrock of the family and the life of the party. She lit up every room that she walked into with her big smile.
Though her passing leaves a profound absence, her beautiful and powerful legacy remains in the lives she touched, the family she nurtured, and the steady goodness she brought to this world. She will be deeply missed and remembered with deep respect, gratitude, and love by all.
