Mary was born in Chicago, Illinois, second daughter of four of Margaret (Shaughnessy) Capodice and Joseph J. Capodice. She started her career in the airlines business and then dedicated her profession as a mother and housewife managing the family affairs. In later years, after her children had grown, she worked in Charlie Brown Children’s Center and loved to teach and create special games and projects for preschoolers. Mary was a devout Roman Catholic and active member of Our Lady of Grace Parish in Fletcher Hills, El Cajon. She enjoyed children very much and was always available to help others in need through the Diocese. Although her loving husband passed in 2017, she is survived by her four children and their spouses; Charlene and Larry, Philip and Suzi, Paul and Ellette, Anthony and Virginia. Mary was a faithful servant of God, loving sister, wife, mother of four, grandmother of eleven, and great-grandmother of five.
