Mary Ann Kennedy

Mary Anne Kennedy, 92, of Santee California passed away on May 1st 2022 in her home surrounded by family. Born Mary Anne Lothspeich in Langdon, North Dakota on September 30th 1929. The 4th of five children she joins her four brothers who predeceased her Bob, Howard, Tommy and Chuck.

January 19th 1957, she married Earl Kennedy and they remained married celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary this year. She worked for Bank of America two different times taking a break to raise her children and volunteer at the school library. She loved going to her local Santee library weekly to get multiple mystery novels which she could read in just one evening. She read so many books that she had her own log book to ensure she didn’t bring home a book she had already read and knew who done it. An avid Padre fan, she learned to keep score while watching the games from her favorite chair to be more a part of the game.

Mary Anne is survived by her husband Earnest Kennedy; children Patricia Kennedy, Michael Kennedy and his wife Shawn Kennedy; her grandchildren Kristian Kennedy, Brian Kennedy and his wife Cheri Kennedy and their 2 boys Conner and Cameron Kennedy her great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Miramar National cemetery at a date yet to be determined. At her request there will be no services, the family will honor her privately. If you wish to honor her life donate to your local library in her name and cheer on the Padres.
