I am one of Mary Ellen's nieces. As I sit here in the airport (because I missed my flight) and think about what I might share at her memorial the word that keeps coming to mind is "laughter." The few times I got to see her it seemed like a smile on her face was simply a pause in the laughter and joy she seemed to radiate ... ESPECIALLY when Uncle Johnny was still around. I was very young when I met Johnny and he seemed to me like someone who could light up a room and enjoy life without having to be the center of attention. When they were together it was almost like they had the same heartbeat. They were both very special. Before closing I'd like to remember Mary Ellen's brother, my uncle Ted Dean, who also had that amazing gift of joy and laughter. I see the photos posted of them together and I hear those laughs and chuckles in my memory.  What a blessing! I hope those reading this got a chance to share a laugh or maybe just a smile with Mary Ellen. Thank you for the chance to share my memory with you.
