Mary Cecilia Miesner

Mary Miesner, born on October 7, 1930, passed away on February 12, 2025. She was born at Misericordia Hospital in New York and spent her childhood on Long Island with her parents, Declan and Catherine Flynn, and her siblings Michael and Josie. Mary married Jack Miesner on January 12, 1952, and together they relocated to San Diego in 1969 with their six children.

Throughout her life, Mary was actively involved in her church parish and dedicated much of her time to volunteering with N.A.M.I. She pursued her passion for history and obtained a bachelor's degree from San Diego State University in 1985.

Mary is survived by her daughter Elizabeth, sons John (Shan Shan), Christopher (Denise), Peter, and Joseph (Marta), as well as 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Sadly, her son Declan has passed away.

Mary Miesner peacefully passed away at her home in Point Loma. A Mass in her honor will be held on Wednesday, February 26, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Agnes Church, followed by interment on March 4th at 10:30 a.m. at Miramar National Cemetery. May she rest in peace.
