Maurice is survived by his wife Paulette who found each other later in life and would describe their 23-year marriage as a true soulmate love story. David & Susan King, 3 nephews, 5 children Jeannette, Ryan, Aurelia, Justin, Sean, 6 grandchildren, Jeremiah, Juliana, Samantha, Michael, Austin, Jacob, and 6 great-grandchildren.
Maurice a homeless veteran himself participated in the VVSD Dust Off program to create his new path. After completing the program Maurice became the outreach volunteer for the first yearly National Stand Down three-day homeless veteran event. Maurice was paramount in getting homeless veterans to attend this event to participate in all the services. It is a hand up not a handout
