He is preceded in death by our parents, Mauro and Maria Colmenero, brothers Arturo, Eddie and Richie. He is survived by siblings: Victoria Colmenero, Josie Colmenero – Malabanan, David Colmenero, Beto (Alva) Colmenero, J.R “Chayo” (Shirley) Colmenero, Mario Colmenero, Carmen Colmenero -Clegg (Ray); Also, Aunt Ophelia and Charlie Mireles; Cousins Alice, Macario (Karen), Sally (Henry), Eloise (Clarence), Terri and Toni; Cherished nieces/nephews Michael Miramontes (Josie’s son), Mark Anthony Saldana (Victoria's Son), Linda Arvizu (Beto and Alva’s daughter), Chayo and Andy’s daughters: Vivian Colmenero Shanks (Tom); Lisa Colmenero Najera (Yogi), Maria Colmenero Pompa,; Carmen and Ray’s daughter: Darlene Clegg Morrow; Mario’s sons: Darin and Derek Colmenero; Great grandnephews/nieces: Bianca Najera, Arturo Marciano Najera, Darren and Brian Shanks, JoJo, Alec and Joshua Pompa; Cade Colmenero, Derek’s son; Mario’s grandson; Darlene’s sons Raymond and Ruben Morrow.

Viewing will be on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Goodbody Mortuary on El Cajon Blvd from 5 to 8 PM; Rosary at 6:30 PM.

Mass will be on Wednesday, February 3, 2016; 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on Kearney Avenue in Logan Heights, followed by Crypt entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery.

A reception at the VFW on Logan Avenue will directly follow the entombment.
