My heart is with Maria and the kids. Mike was such a beautiful souls. I pray that he always shows you signs that he is with you all every day.

Dear Maria and family, Kim and. Brian, 
We knew Michael from Laramie Way when all the neighbor kids played together.  Michael was always the peacemaker when  others weren’t getting along and he grew up to be such a lovely, loving man. We cherished the note he and Maria gave to each of us at their wedding…such thoughtfulness exemplified Michael’s kindness.  I can only imagine the mark he made on his students and co-workers and I bet he was the best husband and father ever! We are heartbroken that such a bright light has left this world.

It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that I remember our dear friend, Mike. More than fifty years ago, we moved into a close-knit neighborhood where lasting friendships were formed, and from those early days, Mike became more like a brother than a friend. 

From our early elementary school days through high school and beyond — from scraped knees to first jobs, first speeding tickets and standing by one another through family losses — those moments became the foundation of a lifetime of memories I’ll always cherish.

Over the years, even when time and distance got in the way, we always managed to reconnect as if no time had passed, sharing the same laughter and warmth that made our friendship so special.

Mike took immense pride in his family and in the life he and Maria created together. He had such a generous heart and a joyful spirit that touched everyone around him. Though he is no longer with us, the memories and friendship we shared will remain in my heart always.

My deepest sympathy and love go out to Maria, MJ, Mia -and- Brian and Kim together with their entire extended family. May you find comfort in knowing how deeply Mike was loved and how profoundly he will be missed.

I have been part of his wonderful family for a couple of years taking care of his father Louis “ Mike “ Fowler from 2018-2020. We shared many memories and I will cherish them forever. Losing someone we love is one of life’s greatest hardships, but the Bible offers a reassuring hope. Isaiah 25:8 and Revelation 21:3,4 speak of a time when “death will be no more” and God “will wipe away the tears from all faces.” I also encourage you to read John 5:28,29, which speaks of a future resurrection. These verses have brought me comfort during times of loss, and I pray they do the same for you. Please accept my heartfelt condolences once again.

The family of Michael Lee Fowler has entrusted El Camino Mortuary – Sorrento Valley to attend to the funeral services of their loved one. A beautiful soul has been called to rest in the eternal garden under the care of their higher power. While many will feel a sense of emptiness and loss, others will find comfort in knowing they are in a better place. May Michael’s spirit continue to be present in every day of your existence and in every memory you express. They say that one is forgotten or dies when you allow the memories to fade or go unspoken. Allow yourself time to grieve, as this is part of the healing process, but never forget that it lies within oneself to live and continue the legacy. May Michael’s soul rest in peace and continue to watch over you and grant you strength.
