I'm sad to hear of Michael's passing. I interacted with him on many occasions as he and his shop were/are our go-to locksmith for our company. This meant that I would interact with him for about a 20-30 minute conversation each time I went in to have keys made or locks keyed. We both have law enforcement backgrounds and would enjoy sharing stories of people we helped in that capacity from our previous careers. We both liked to listen to scanners to see what kind of police activity was going on around us, and Michael always made sure I had the latest updates to his scanner programming. Michael even hosted a scanner channel on a popular phone application that allowed the public and hundreds of security officers to monitor and listen to. I know of several occasions where security officers became involved with a hot crime and were able to lead police to a suspect based on the ability Michael gave them to hear what citizens were called into police agencies. We talked a few times about maybe having socializing away from our work obligations, but unfortunately, that never happened and I feel that I missed out knowing more about such a nice guy. My condolences to those that loved and knew him.

Mike was the locksmith for our business at Balboa Tennis Club for the past 13 years that I have been Club Director. He was more than just the guy who changed out our locks and made keys - he was a wonderful person. Every time he came to the Club or when I went into the shop, he was upbeat, friendly and just a great guy to do business with, as well as extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his business. I am in shock that he passed away and very sorry. Another Club Member is having a memorial at the exact same time and day that I have to attend, so I won't be able to make his service:(
Sincere sympathy to the family. Mike will be truly missed.

My heart is sad to have lost my loving son Michael. He is surely enjoying being reunited with his twin brother Roger now. I can never forget the great surprise when they were born. They were both loving and caring sons. I will miss Michael and Roger forever. Rest in peace now my sons.

I don't even know where to start. My Uncle was one of the luckiest men I know! To be able to share your life with someone so special. I'm so thankful I was able to know Michael. He was always smiling, laughing, having fun and always full of hugs. I can't find words to describe how much he will be missed. God gained an angel. Someday we will be able to reunite with him in God's Heaven. We love you Michael. And you never let me forgot the night at the Loft. I'm so glad you were there to share the moment.
