Mildred Lois Wetter

Mildred “Bobbie” L. Wetter February 15, 1918 – March 15, 2016 Mildred “Bobbie” Wetter, 98 years of age, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Vista Knoll in Vista, CA. Bobbie was born February 15, 1918 in Marshalltown, Iowa to the late Floyd and Cecilia Grace Stettler. Bobbie married Alvin Gerald Wetter in 1935 in San Diego, CA. During World War II she worked as a butcher alongside her husband Alvin. After Alvin passed away in 1977, Bobbie used her seamstress, tailoring and fashion design skills by working in an upscale ladies dress shop for the rest of her working life. Bobbie was preceded in death by her three brothers, Warren, Don and Glen and by her two sisters-in-law, Mary and Claire. Bobbie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Deborah Wetter of Appleton, WI, her three grandchildren, Kim, Audrey and John, three great-grandchildren; Thea and Jeremy Grimes and Piper Ryan Wetter as well as many nieces and nephews and their children and grand-children. Bobbie was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She lived her life as a vibrant, independent and caring person and had a great many friends of all ages. She will be greatly missed by those who love her.
