Nicholas graduated from St. Francis Cabrini Middle School and Bellarmine College Preparatory (2018). He attended De Anza College before being accepted by the University of California (Santa Barbara and San Diego), though he ultimately felt a different path calling.
Nicholas’ friends and family will remember him as a kind, loving, and compassionate human being who moved through life with a rare gift for capturing the awe, wonder, and humor in everyday moments. He was deeply reflective and thoughtful, dedicating time to a family book club in the last weeks of his life. Full of energy, he enjoyed surfing, fishing, baseball, and working out with friends. He completed two tours with Amigos de las Américas, contributing thousands of service hours to local communities in Panama and the Dominican Republic. He had a sincere desire to help others, which carried through to recent studies to be an emergency medical care provider. His light shone brightly to those who knew and loved him, and he will be forever in the hearts and memories of his family.
Nicholas is survived by his parents Marie Ilagan Jobson and Owen Randolph Jobson, siblings Elliott Morgan Jobson, Noah Alexander Jobson, and Elizabeth Grace Jobson, grandmothers Estella Castillo Ilagan, Lydia Castillo Steel, and Harriett Tumlin Jobson, aunts and uncles Cara Jobson and Marianna Aue, Lisa Jobson, Edwin and Kayra Ilagan, Leslie and Jarrod Adams, Stevens Koella, Brooks and Craig Heiser, and cousins Sandra and Lucy Jobson-Aue, Emily and Lauren Adams, Korra and Kinsley Ilagan, Virginia and Gibby Heiser, and John Charles Trotter.
