Noah James Najbert, age 21, passed away in San Diego on Friday April 3, 2020 from a previously undiagnosed health condition. Noah was born April 12, 1998 in Monterey, California. Although his family is devastated over the loss of this exceptional young man, they will cherish his memories forever. He was a warm and funny person, always looking for the humor in things. He also liked relaxing and playing X-box with his cousins.
Noah packed a lot into his 21 years. In his younger years, his mom took him to Los Angeles weekly to work in TV and commercials. He earned his SAG/AFTRA union card while working on Disney's 'Ant Farm' show. His favorite job was when he was flown to San Francisco for a TV pilot show that was directed by Jon Favreau.
Because Noah wanted to have a traditional high school experience, he put his Hollywood aspirations on hold. While attending Mira Mesa High School he was on the waterpolo, swim and wrestling teams. He graduated and earned his diploma with honors in 2016.
Education was important to Noah. He was on track to earn his bachelor's degree in economics and political science next year at San Diego State University. He loved going to State and loved going to the basketball games. Noah flirted with pursuing a career in law because Lord knows he liked to argue his points. However, ultimately he decided to join the Air Force officer program because he loved to fly planes and wanted to serve his country. One of his favorite things to do was to log flight hours toward his pilot's license. He said flying over the San Diego coast was the best feeling.
Noah had plans to travel. He and his girlfriend of three years had tickets to go the Philippines this summer. They also were planning to go sky diving together once the Corona Virus restrictions were eased. They loved going to Canada and were looking to ski there in the winter. Unfortunately with the Covid-19 restrictions, the funeral was a private event.
Noah was a wonderful son, grandson, nephew and cousin. He always tried to make everyone feel welcomed and accepted. He had an infectious smile. He is so very loved and will be so very missed.
