Norbert Mandolf

Norbert Mandolf (known to his many friends as Nobby) was born in Buffalo, N.Y. to Henry I. and Frida Mandolf. After moving in San Diego and graduating from St. Augustine High School he entered San Diego State University. His matriculation was, however, interrupted by two years of service in the Army in Korea. After completing his Bachelors Degree in Industrial Management, Nobby worked in the aerospace industry for several years. He was happiest outdoors and was an accomplished skier, competitive in both water and snow skiing. He served as Commodore in the San Diego Boat and Ski Club and for several years he announced the Hydroplane Races on Mission Bay. In 1970 He formed his own business involving pool and spa installation and repair. Nobby passed away peacefully after a short illness. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy, and three Daughters, Michelle, Melissa and Heidi, and their children, and a Sister Elinor.
