It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Norma Manalili Velasco, who left us peacefully on December 25, 2024. Norma was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother, and a retired high school teacher.
Norma was married to Darwin Velasco and together they raised seven children. She was a caring and understanding mother, always offering wisdom and support to her children and grandchildren. She loved cooking for her family, crocheting, singing, and dancing. Her favorite saying was “God will take care of everything”, and her strong faith was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Norma’s warmth, kindness, and love will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her children, and grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Jan. 9 and 10 at 1pm to 7pm at El Camino Memorial-Sorrento Valley, San Diego, CA. Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life and legacy.
Norma’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the employees and staff of the Villas at Poway, Villa Rancho Bernardo, Reliable Care Staff, Delta Home Health Staff and Vitas Hospice Staff as well as the doctors who cared for her. Thank you to everyone for your love and support during this difficult time.
